Yann Santin a supervisé des opérations humanitaires à partir de 2001 dans des pays tels que l'Afghanistan, le Pakistan, la Syrie, l'Irak ou la RDC, principalement pour Médecins Sans Frontières. Titulaire de masters en sciences politiques et sociologie, il a accompagné plusieurs initiatives de MSF visant à analyser les expériences de terrain pour éclairer la réflexion opérationnelle. Il s’est notamment consacré à l’étude d’incidents majeurs de sécurité afin de renforcer la capacité de l’organisation à y répondre, en particulier dans les situations de kidnapping de personnel.
Yann Santin has coordinated humanitarian operations since 2001 in countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Iraq or the DRC, mainly for Médecins Sans Frontières. He holds master’s degrees in political science and sociology and has contributed to several MSF initiatives aimed at analysing field experiences to inform operational thinking. In particular, he has researched major security incidents to strengthen the organisation's capacity to respond to them, especially in situations involving the kidnapping of staff.
